Walleye Weekend marks the beginning of summer Rugby 7’s season. Rugby 7’s is a 7-man per team version of the 2nd most popular sport in the world….RUBGY. Several high school teams from throughout the state will be showcasing their talents in this exhibition tournament. Rugby 7’s is a fast-paced, physical sport that involves ball-carrying, running, tackling, and kicking. Rugby is one of the fastest-growing sports in the U.S. at the high school and collegiate level. Rugby 7’s has recently been added to the Olympics beginning in 2016. The public is welcome to come watch and inquire about how to join a rugby team. Visit FDL Rugby for more information.
