This annual event in the heart of the festival has attracted approximately 500 runners participating in the first Walleye Run to as many as 1\,200 participating in recent years.  You don’t want to miss it!  Great fun for the serious runners\, the not so serious runners\, and the entire family. SUMMARY:Kids Fishing Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Location: Mercury Island \n  \nEvent Details: This free Kids Fishing Tournament is held on Oven Island\, and children line the banks of the two north channels\, often shoulder to shoulder. Each catch is weighed on electronic scales with the most weight winning. Contestants may choose to fish both days or only one day of their choice. It’s the beginning of summer\, so let’s go fishing! \n  \nBe sure to bring your own fishing pole\, equipment and live bait if you’re interested in participating.  Equipment will not be provided. \n  \nTrophies will be awarded and announcements made each day 15 minutes after the tournament has concluded on the Mercury National Tournament Stage. \n  \nAll places (first-third) for each age group (4 and under\, 5-8\, 9-14\, 15-17) for the Individual Competition on Saturday will win Walleye Weekend Medals. \n  \nSaturday\, June 13th: 8am – 12:00pm \n  \nRegistration Information: Pre-registration online is encouraged but not mandatory\, as parties can still register on site the day of each tournament.  The first 100 kids (17 and younger) to register online will receive a $5.00 Fleet Farm Gift Card the day of the event.
