Event Details: This free Kids Fishing Tournament is held on Oven Island, and children line the banks of the two north channels, often shoulder to shoulder. Each catch is weighed on electronic scales with the most weight winning. Contestants may choose to fish both days or only one day of their choice. It’s the beginning of summer, so let’s go fishing!

 

Be sure to bring your own fishing pole, equipment and live bait if you’re interested in participating.  Equipment will not be provided.

 

Trophies will be awarded and announcements made each day 15 minutes after the tournament has concluded on the Mercury National Tournament Stage.

 

All places (first-third) for each age group (4 and under, 5-8, 9-14, 15-17) for the Individual Competition on Saturday will win Walleye Weekend Medals.

Walleye Weekend 2025 - Kids Fishing Tournament Entry (Saturday, June 7th)

Sign up for the kids (individual) tournament on Saturday or the family (group) fishing tournament on Sunday at Walleye Weekend 2025. Complete the form now or download and email to info@fdlfest.com. Please remember, fishing equipment or bait will not be provided, so please bring your own the day of the event. The first 100 kids registered for the individual tournament on Saturday will receive a $5 Fleet Farm Gift Card (courtesy of our sponsor - Fleet Farm). Must register online to qualify.
