Any pumpkin growers ages 17 and younger who grow a field or Atlantic Giant pumpkin are eligible to enter this free competition with one entry each!

 

All grower’s will receive a “First Pumpkin” Award from The Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off and event partners. The participants who grow the three heaviest pumpkins will win a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Medal. Judges will also select the grower with the most perfect pumpkin to win “The Perfect Pumpkin Award”.

 

All growers under the age of 18 will receive a “First Pumpkin” Certificate from the Wisconsin Giant Pumpkin Growers and Great Pumpkin Commonwealth. These growers will also receive an honorary membership to the WGPG.

 

To transport your pumpkin to Oven Island, feel free to use a stroller or wagon. Due to bridge construction, we will not have an area to drop off pumpkins this year.

Fond du Lac Festivals is excited to celebrate Fall in 2025 by bringing together family-friendly elements of a fall festival – jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin painting, jumping in leaves, caramel apples, costume contests, horse-drawn carriage rides, and the German heritage and traditions of a traditional Oktoberfest style events (polka, brats, beer gardens, lederhousen Hammerschlagen, Masskrugstemmen, (you might need to Google those) and other activities.  We are looking forward to the most Fall-tacular, Oktob-errific event you could imagine and there are still some partnership and volunteer opportunities available.
